Because we know how overwhelming the planning process can sometimes be and how many logistics are involved, our property is not only intended for your wedding day, we encourage you to use it to host multiple gatherings throughout the weekend making it a one stop shop for all your wedding festivities. Whether you and your guests are fishing in the pond or sipping wine overlooking the hills, we want to make sure you feel at home every minute you’re with us.

 OUR LOVE STORY

Our story began in the 80s when a single Mom and a self proclaimed bachelor accidentally fell in love.

They met unexpectedly in SLO county, but subsequently blossomed in Southern California. After a decade in the LA area, family ties and big dreams brought them back to the 805 to the tiny town of Creston. The birth of their legacy, Willow & Oak Estate, followed soon after.

It started with a vision to build a Spanish style home fit for withstanding California quakes. It only took one look at a tiny opening amongst the oaks to know that would be the foundation for their forever home.

By the summer of 2002, the Palmer Home was nearly complete. With the slowing of traction and excitement of the building process now ending, Mr. Palmer focused his imagination on what we now know as “The Palmer Pond”. A true worldly fisherman, Cort stalked his water with Large Mouth Bass, Red Ear, and Catfish. Up until his recent passing, you could always find him at his barn, feeding his fish with dog food, or floating on the pond with his fishing pole. Shortly after the development of the pond, the Palmers started their garden and orchard where you can now find a plethora of fruit trees, squash, tomatoes, onions, melons, and peppers. Mrs. Palmer still continues to make her famous homegrown Peach Ice Cream...now, for the Grandkids.

Then came what Mr. Palmer referred to as “The Barn”, but was better known as “The Mancave”, where the “man of many hobbies” retreated to escape the girls... and play with his variety of toys. Presently, you can visit (and stay) in “The Mancave” and enjoy billiards and games, blended margaritas, or a cold beer at the custom made bar we named “Cort’s Catina” in honor of our favorite Patron.

Willow & Oak first served as a Wedding Venue in 2005 when the oldest daughter exchanged her vows to her high school sweetheart. The second wedding came in 2011 when the youngest daughter followed suit of her parents and said “I Do” to her very own self proclaimed bachelor. In 2018, Mr. and Mrs. Palmer finally had a formal wedding, after 30 years of marriage, in the same spot their daughters did years before, with their youngest officiating their vows and their Grandbabies at their hip.

Our family has a legacy of love and marriage and Willow and Oak Estate is the place that will forever be where our forever started. We share with you a piece of our story and hope that it forever holds your forever, too!
